My Personal Healing Journey
My journey to health and wellness began long before I ever knew what Functional Diagnostic Nutrition was—it started with my own struggles to find answers when nothing seemed to work.
I grew up in a challenging home life, where resilience and determination became part of who I am. Raised on a farm, I stayed active through horse competitions and constant training—a drive that followed me into adulthood as I built a career in fitness as a group instructor, personal trainer, and strength coach. For years, I believed that staying active and eating well was enough to maintain my health. But when life brought loss, transitions, and unexpected stress, everything shifted. Despite being in the best shape of my life, I struggled with weight gain, fatigue, sleep disturbances, and a deep sense of hopelessness. Because I had always lived such a physically active life, being sidelined by fatigue and the inability to recover from exercise felt devastating—everything I knew to be true about health seemed to fall apart. Doctors and practitioners offered quick fixes or partial solutions that didn’t address the root causes, leaving me frustrated and still searching for answers. That’s when I discovered Functional Diagnostic Nutrition. For the first time, I felt like I had finally found the answers to my health. FDN helped me uncover the underlying dysfunction, connect the dots between stress, hormones, digestion, and lifestyle, and realign my body from the inside out. Through the FDN program, a new passion was formed, and through my own healing I began to wonder—what if what I now know could help others avoid going through the same trials? That question became my driving force. My own healing journey didn’t just restore my health, it gave me a new purpose: to guide others through the same process so they can understand their bodies, reclaim their vitality, and live fully aligned lives.
Background & Credentials
I am a certified Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P) with a lifelong background in health and fitness. Before becoming an FDN-P, I spent years working as an ACE certified personal trainer, AFAA certified group fitness instructor, and USGA certified strength coach, helping people build strength, resilience, and confidence through movement. That foundation in physical wellness gave me a deep understanding of how the body responds to stress, training, and recovery—and how easily it can fall out of balance when underlying dysfunction is overlooked. Through my training with Functional Diagnostic Nutrition, I gained advanced tools to uncover hidden stressors in the body, interpret functional lab work, and create personalized protocols that support true healing. I now specialize in working with active, health-conscious individuals who feel frustrated by unexplained symptoms, guiding them to uncover the root causes and realign their health with sustainable, science-based strategies.
Roots
Beyond my professional training, my roots go back to being raised on a farm and competing with horses. That experience taught me discipline, resilience, and the value of consistent training—qualities I now bring into my work helping others realign their health. Healing isn’t something that happens overnight; it takes consistency, resilience, and discipline—the very same strengths that shaped me from a young age.

At Wellness Realigned, I play a key role in guiding clients through their wellness journeys with the perspective of someone who has faced the same challenges. Drawing on my experience in health, fitness, and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition, I take a broad, integrative view of the body to uncover the root causes of symptoms, create personalized strategies, and help clients integrate wellness into busy lives. Having navigated fatigue, weight gain, sleep disturbances, and the frustration of being dismissed by traditional approaches, I know what it takes to reclaim energy, confidence, and balance—and I’m passionate about helping others do the same.

My Personal Healing Journey
My journey to health and wellness has been anything but straightforward — and it’s exactly what fuels my passion for helping others. From my early days as a gymnast in high school to becoming a mom at 20, I’ve faced the challenges of balancing work, family, and personal well-being while navigating fatigue, digestive struggles, and constant weight fluctuations. As a young adult, life quickly became overwhelming — Walking through three marriages that eroded my sense of peace, leaving me feeling diminished and disconnected from who I truly was, working 14+ hour days as a teacher, personal trainer and wrestling coach, trying to exercise, eat right, and care for my family of 5 children all at once. Walking on eggshells, overworking, and constantly putting my own health last took a toll on my body and mind. I did everything I could to help myself: following every fad diet, eating more, eating less, focusing on protein intake, competing in Spartan races, doing bodybuilding, and running — the only thing that helped my mind — but even the extreme diets and workouts didn’t “work” for any length of time. I experienced extreme fatigue, relentless bloating, and constant weight gain that only temporarily responded to intense effort. I was introduced to Functional Diagnostic Nutrition (FDN) through my mom, and it completely transformed my perspective on health. FDN gave me the tools to understand how my body’s systems were out of balance, uncover hidden imbalances, and create sustainable strategies that truly supported my well-being. Now, I sleep through the night, have the energy to fully enjoy the activities I love, am losing weight without extreme diets or workouts, and have cultivated a lifestyle of calm, practical stress management, and consistent wellness habits. This journey fuels my personal passion: guiding others to break free from the cycle of trial and error, reclaim their health with confidence, and create their own lives of balance, energy, peace and empowerment.

As a certified teacher, I focus on helping clients truly understand their labs and their bodies, empowering them to take control of their health with clarity and confidence. I specialize in meeting clients exactly where they are, creating lifestyle changes that are attainable, realistic, and manageable long-term. I also have extensive experience helping clients balance busy schedules, build wellness protocols that work even when time is limited, and learn to prioritize their own health while living in a household with family and children. My approach is designed to be practical, sustainable, and empowering, so wellness becomes achievable and life-enhancing rather than overwhelming.
